AgilitySurvey wins Assessor of the Year at Energy Efficiency & Retrofit Awards

Leading property surveyor AgilitySurvey has won the Assessor of the Year category at this year’s East of England Energy Efficiency & Retrofit Awards. Nominating its project lead assessor Frank Levy, AgilitySurvey is delighted that his work on the Heataborough scheme for Peterborough City Council has been recognised.

The awards, presented at the Stansted Airport Hilton Hotel on Wednesday 13th April, applauded Frank Levy’s tenacity and commitment to ensuring that the requisite Green Deal Assessments were duly carried out across nearly 1,000 poorly constructed properties in Peterborough.

Peterborough City Council’s Heataborough scheme began in 2014. With £4 million of Green Deal Communities funding awarded by the Department for Energy and Climate Change, Peterborough City Council decided to improve the quality of housing in areas of high fuel-poverty.  Targeting up to 2000 poorly constructed, “hard to treat” homes in the Gladstone, Millfield, New England and Eastfield areas of the city, the scheme’s goal was to improve the energy efficiency of these properties and drive down the cost of keeping warm.

As the dedicated key Assessor for the scheme, Frank Levy has conducted nearly 600 surveys (Energy Performance Certificates and Green Deal Advice Reports) in Peterborough to date. The properties Frank has surveyed have been varied and have required him to demonstrate his full RdSAP knowledge. He has ensured that no resident is unnecessarily inconvenienced and in the two years that Frank has been carrying out the surveys for the Heataborough scheme, he has not received a single complaint from any Peterborough resident.

Nicholas Ainger, MD of AgilitySurvey said: “Despite other Agility survey work, Frank has shown unfailing commitment to the Heataborough scheme and has been in Peterborough every day to conduct surveys, liaise with local residents and offer Green Deal advice. Frank’s input in resolving issues after remedial works have taken place at a property has been invaluable, enabling us to settle minor disputes and maintaining good relationships with residents. His detailed snagging reports, following installation of energy efficiency measures, have proven essential. In our opinion Frank has proven himself to have gone above and beyond his original surveyor’s remit and has been integral to the success of the Heataborough scheme. He thoroughly deserves this award.”
