Energy Efficiency and Affordable Warmth Advocate James Sommerville joins the AgilityEco team

AgilityEco welcomes James as its new Head of Business Development
 

AgilityEco is pleased to announce the appointment of James Sommerville as its new Head of Business Development.

James joins the team from Oldham Council, where he has been managing the Warm Homes Oldham scheme. He begins his new role from mid-August 2017.

James has a wealth of experience in community energy, energy efficiency and affordable warmth projects, particularly working within local authorities and the third sector. He has managed various multi-million pound schemes for several local authorities in the North-West of England and is known for his ability to manage strategic partnerships and deliver complex public and private partnership projects. 

James will be working on developing new business opportunities for AgilityEco with an immediate focus on new opportunity areas such as the recently-announced Warm Homes Fund, as well as working on AgilityEco’s well-established LEAP service (Local Energy Advice Programme).

Commenting on the new appointment, Gearoid Lane, CEO, AgilityEco, said: “James brings valuable knowledge and expertise to AgilityEco and will be a huge asset to our project management teams in particular. His skills and experience within the energy efficiency sector, specifically working with local government, will be invaluable as we look to grow our LEAP service and develop new and innovative energy efficiency projects across the UK.
