Success at the Energy Efficiency Awards
Last week AgilityEco and its partners celebrated success at the South East Energy Efficiency Awards, clinching multiple honours that emphasise their commitment to supporting vulnerable customers.
AgilityEco’s partner Portsmouth City Council, who leads the Warmer Homes consortium, won the Vulnerable Customer Support Award for delivering tangible improvements to the lives of people suffering from fuel poverty.
The Warmer Homes Programme is an energy efficiency programme delivered by AgilityEco in the South and Southeast of England. Improvements include fully funded insulation, air source heat pumps and solar panels.
Portsmouth City Council was the runner-up in the Local Authority of the Year category.
Cllr Kimberly Barrett, Portsmouth City Council Cabinet member for Climate Change and Greening the City said:
"It's wonderful to once again acknowledge the dedication of the energy team, and the partnership with AgilityEco. Working together, they continue to be committed to addressing fuel poverty, especially during a period when the rising cost of living is a significant issue for numerous households in the city."
AgilityEco’s energy and money saving advice service, LEAP (Local Energy Advice Partnership) received a commendation for Large Scale Project of the Year. LEAP delivers boiler replacements, new appliances, telephone and home visit energy efficiency advice across Britain.
Simon White, Operations Director at AgilityEco commented:
“These awards show recognition for all the amazing work that Portsmouth City Council and AgilityEco provide to vulnerable households in need of energy efficiency improvements. Together, we are proud to work towards a brighter, more efficient and more sustainable future for all."
